Hayaah, the Arabic word for 'life', is a set of four trading cards featuring four dalgona candies that hold supernatural powers. They are: Sahari (Earth), Sarab (Air), Loulia (Water), and Tara (Fire). The project was inspired by dalgona candy, which is sold by vendors in South Korea, and the attachment of South Korean millennial and Gen-Z to it. The trading card format is another nod to 90's and early 2000's pop culture. The dalgona characters follow the tale of a humble vendor, who used to draw a smile on children’s faces with her sweet dalgona candy before her secret broke to the world, that she is a wizard. The trading cards remain the only evidence of the tale.
